Global solar technology company LONGi has entered a strategic agreement to supply up to 1.2GW of its new generation Hi MO4 modules to Indian photovoltaic power station developer Adani Green Energy.
LONGi intends to deliver the modules to Adani by 2020.
By signing the new supply agreement, LONGi intends to bring quality and affordable clean electricity to India with its photovoltaic products and technologies.
LONGi Solar senior vice-president Dennis She said: “We are very grateful to Adani for their trust and support. LONGi will seek to deepen our cooperation globally and mutually continue to improve the level of the strategic partnership.
“As a driver in the global energy transformation, LONGi will continue to leverage its leading technologies and work with Adani to build best in class solar projects in India and the world, and to promote the rapid development of global renewable energy.”
Adani Green Energy is a renewable energy subsidiary of the Adani Group, an integrated business conglomerate in India.
The company is engaged in the development of solar, wind and hydro energy projects and currently holds a project portfolio with 5,290MW.

Both companies have also agreed to promote renewable energy in India. Every year, LONGi supplies more than 30GW of solar wafers and modules across the globe.
